ABOUT CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS ACADEMY

The Construction Business Academy brings chartered commercial discipline to SME construction and civil engineering businesses.
We work with owner-operators, directors, and small teams who want to put proper commercial structure into their business, not chase a scaling blueprint, not buy into a coaching programme, not be told to "think bigger."
The work is grounded, structured, and led personally by David Clark, FCInstCES and MCIOB, who continues to work in commercial leadership at director level alongside running CBA.
Most businesses we meet come to us with the same problem: the business is busy, but the numbers don't reflect it. Margins drift. Quotes go out late. Cashflow tightens. Decisions get made on instinct because there isn't time to do them any other way. CBA's job is to fix that, through targeted training, advisory mentoring, structured tools, and honest professional advice from a chartered consultant with 20 years experience.
OUR FOUNDERÂ - DAVID CLARK
David Clark (BSc Hons FCInstCES MCIOB NEC Reg) is a chartered construction manager and Fellow of the Chartered Instituion of Civil Engineering Surveyors. With over twenty years of senior commercial experience across building, civil engineering, and marine sectors.
David leads CBA's advisory and training work directly. The chartered standards CBA holds itself to, both technical and ethical, come from those institutions and from David's day-to-day commercial work at director level. CBA was founded together with Jessica Clark, who runs the operational side of the practice.

Being a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (FCInstCES) is the highest grade of membership offered by CICES, representing the pinnacle of professional achievement in geospatial engineering and commercial management. It is a prestigious status that recognizes senior professionals who have made significant contributions to the profession or to the institution, going above and beyond their routine daily duties.
What it means to be MCIOB
MCIOB means you are a chartered construction professional, demonstrating high-level competence, experience, and ethical standards in construction management. It is an internationally recognized designation for senior professionals, signifying excellence in the built environment equivalent to a bachelor's degree
