WORKSHOPS
◆ Who are the workshops for?
Our workshops are designed for builders, trades, and construction professionals who want to upskill and broaden their professional knowledge on certain subjects. All workshops are practical, learning how to improve pricing work, understanding costs properly, and increasing the profitability and long term sustainability of the business.
◆ What will I learn?
Each workshop covers a very specific topic. Each workshop delivers tailored content, that you can bring back and implement into your business straight away. At the end of each workshop there is a practical session and live Q&A. The idea of each workshop is that you can take something away and implement it into your business immediately.
◆ Where are the workshops held?
Workshops are delivered at a premium training venue in East Sussex, with direct access from London and complimentary transfers from Uckfield station. For large groups, we may be able to accommodate delivering the training at your chosen venue, enquire within.
◆ Do I need any prior experience?
No formal qualifications are required, each workshop delivers practical real world content.
◆ How long is the workshop?
Most workshops are delivered as morning or half-day sessions, each workshop has its own specifics.
◆ What’s included?
Training, workbook, and practical exercises. Food and refreshments are typically included depending on the session. Each delegate gets a certificate of attendance.
1-TO-1 MENTORING
◆ Who is 1-to-1 mentoring for?
This is for business owners, directors, and professionals who want tailored support to improve their business performance, pricing, and commercial systems.
◆ What does the mentoring cover?
Mentoring is tailored to your business, it starts with a bespoke report detailing the current performance of the business and setting clear targets. Mentoring typically covers business strategy, pricing strategy, governance, cost control, profitability, systems, and business growth.
◆ How are sessions delivered?
Sessions are delivered either online, or in person.
◆ How often do we meet?
This depends on your package, typically monthly sessions with a mid-month check in on progress.
◆ Do you review my business directly?
Yes. We work directly on your business, not just theory, including a complete review of your business strategy, systems, financial controls including pricing, internal governance and site operations.
◆ Is there a minimum commitment?
One payment is made up front to cover the month ahead, then payment is made on a rolling monthly basis via direct debit. There is no minimum contractual commitment, but once payment is made for that month refunds are not available. You can cancel at any time.
PRICING DROP-IN SERVICE
◆ What is the Pricing Drop-In Service?
A flexible session where you can bring a live estimate or quote and have it professionally reviewed. This is a chance to have a second pair eyes look over your estimate, looking at and reviewing potential risks and opportunities, checking outputs and durations. It is a chance to get a chartered professional at senior director level review the work you have prepared.
◆ Who is it for?
Builders, estimators, and business owners who want a second opinion before submitting a price.
◆ What do you review?
We review your rates, assumptions, labour, materials, risks, and overall pricing approach.
◆ How long is a session?
Sessions are typically last one to 2 hours, depending on the complexity of the job. It is charged by the hour and bookable online.
◆ Is this suitable for urgent jobs?
Yes, this service is ideal if you need quick, practical input before submitting a quote.
◆ Will you price the job for me?
No, we guide and advise, helping you improve your own pricing capability.
ESTIMATING COURSE
◆ Who is this programme for?
This programme is for aspiring estimators, construction professionals, and business owners who want to learn how to price work accurately and confidently.
◆ What will I learn?
You will learn how to build rates from first principles, understand labour outputs, materials, plant, and how to price jobs properly in the real world.
◆ Where is the programme delivered?
The programme is delivered at East Sussex National Golf Resort & Spa, with direct access from London and complimentary transfers from Uckfield railway station. We can obtain discounts on over-night accommodation if required, enquire though us.
◆ Do I need experience?
No formal qualifications are required, but a basic understanding of construction is helpful.
◆ What’s included?
Full 5-day training, course materials, workbook, and daily refreshments. Accommodation can be arranged separately if required. Each delegate gets a certificate of completion.
◆ Is this classroom-based or practical?
It is a practical, hands-on programme focused on real-world estimating, not just theory. It is designed to cover a lot of material in a short amount of time so that the delegate can implement what they’ve learnt straight away into their business.
◆ Will I receive a certificate?
Yes, all attendees receive a CBA certificate of completion.
BUSINESS REVIEW
◆ What is the Business Review?
A structured assessment of your construction business across key areas such as pricing, operations, financial control, and strategy.
◆ How does it work?
You complete a structured questionnaire, which is then analysed and turned into a detailed report providing you with a clear strategy.
◆ What will I get from it?
You will receive a clear understanding of where your business is performing well and where improvements are needed. Importantly you’ll have a clear direction with actionable goals.
◆ Is this suitable for small businesses?
Yes, it is designed specifically for SMEs and growing construction businesses (up to ÂŁ5million turnover).
◆ Will I get a report?
Yes, you will receive a professional report outlining your score, insights, and recommended actions.
◆ Can I combine this with mentoring?
Yes, many clients use this as a starting point before moving into 1-to-1 mentoring. 1-to-1 mentoring provides you with direct access to David Clark who will tailor your action plan for your business.

Our courses are designed for people starting a construction business, growing an existing one, or looking to improve their commercial skills.
◆ How are the courses delivered?
Courses are delivered online and can be accessed at your own pace.
◆ What topics do you cover?
Topics include starting a business, pricing work, contracts, profitability, and business growth.
◆ Do I get lifetime access?
Yes, once enrolled, you will have ongoing access to the course materials.
◆ Are the courses practical?
Yes, all content is based on real-world experience, not theory.

Yes, support is available through the platform, our social groups and additional services such as mentoring.
